Malta Film Commissioner Johann Grech visited the set of a reality tv series currently being used for a twelve-episode Reality Programme series being produced in Malta.
With an estimated budget of of €5.2 million, the production’s spend in Malta amounts to more than €2.8 million, qualifying for the 40% cash-rebate programme for film productions. Production in Malta has started off at the end of August, and is expected to continue until mid-September 2021 and will mainly be filming in an earmarked Villa in Zurrieq along with other sites that will be included for challenges during the programme.
Additionally, Malta will be standing as Malta during the TV series.
While visiting the Production set, Malta Film Commissioner Johann Grech said,”It is truly encouraging that producers are choosing Malta again as their filming destination for their upcoming productions. This means that their experience in Malta has been a positive one, and that they acknowledge our vision for Malta to be a ‘world-class filming destination. With our planned €35 million masterplan for the Malta Film Studios, we look forward to welcome more productions, in our journey for Malta to have a filming industry working on an all-year round basis”
