
The Malta Film Commission just launched three Jurassic World Dominion models in Valletta, Birgu and Mellieha as part of its Screen Tourism strategy to attract more tourists and film fanatics from all around the globe.
Jurassic World Dominion is the first blockbuster movie to mention Malta in the script, placing Malta’s backdrop on the big screen globally. The Universal Pictures’ franchise was shot in Valletta, Birgu, Mellieha, Pembroke and Floriana.
In this morning’s press conference, Film Commissioner Grech emphasised on the benefits of the concept of Screen Tourism for Malta and the sequel of Jurassic World itself. Minister for Tourism Clayton Bartolo mentioned that #JurassicWorldDominion has left a positive impact on the island and stated that this initiative is a prime contributor also to family tourism, another important niche for Malta.
